Sono presentate in ordine sistematico le osservazioni ornitologiche di maggiore interesse raccolte dal GPSO nelle regioni Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta nel corso dell’anno 2013. Di rilevante interesse i dati riferiti alle seguenti specie: Phalacrocorax pygmeus, Phoenicopterus roseus, Haliaeetus albicilla, Aegypius monachus, Circus macrourus, Aquila heliaca, Falco cherrug, Calidris melanotos, Phalaropus fulicarius, Larus pipixcan, Melanocorypha calandra, Cecropis daurica, Motacilla citreola, Anthus richardi, Phylloscopus inornatus, Carpodacus erythrinus, Emberiza rustica. Viene inoltre presentata la revisione delle osservazioni regionali di Larus argentatus e Larus cachinnans con lo scopo di revisionare lo status regionale delle due specie. Sono presentate le tabelle relative al censimento regionale degli Anatidi ed acquatici svernanti e quella dei conteggi delle garzaie. In questo Resoconto, per la prima volta, sono trattati anche i dati relativi all’attività di inanellamento a scopo scientifico effettuata in Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta, con elencati i totali delle catture e controlli di ogni specie e la distribuzione delle catture sul territorio regionale. Inoltre le ricatture pervenute al GPSO sono elencate in modo dettagliato.

English Abstract

Ornithological report for the year 2013 in Piedmont and Aosta Valley (NW Italy). This is the 29° ornithological report of the GPSO, a series which, all together, spans over 30 years. Selected data concerning migrating, wintering and breeding birds, collected by GPSO, are given in systematic order. The most prominent data include: Phalacrocorax pygmeus, Phoenicopterus roseus, Haliaeetus albicilla, Aegypius monachus, Circus macrourus, Aquila heliaca, Falco cherrug, Calidris melanotos, Phalaropus fulicarius, Larus pipixcan, Melanocorypha calandra, Cecropis daurica, Motacilla citreola, Anthus richardi, Phylloscopus inornatus, Carpodacus erythrinus, Emberiza rustica. The synopsis of all the observations of Larus argentatus and Larus cachinnans, with the evaluation of the status of the two species in Piedmont is also presented. The report also contains the results of wintering wildfowl censuses and the data of the heronry. This report, for the first time, also includes the data of the ringing activity for which the totals of ringing birds and their distribution over the study area is presented. In addition, all the recoveries are listed in detail.
